I always dreamed of having a finished basement and, after moving into our new home, we were finally able to make that dream a reality. Countless hours of planning, a few weeks of construction, and thousands of dollars later, we had the basement of our dreams… or so we thought.

Not long after the remodel was completed, we noticed that the carpet near our walkout was wet anytime it rained. Dreams quickly turned to nightmares, and I lost sleep any time a storm – even a small one – rolled through, fearful that our investment would be wasted. I had to find a solution.

Eco-Seal came highly recommended and, after seeing the problem firsthand during an inspection, they sprung into action. After excavating the walkout, Eco-Seal’s expert team found that the footer tile ran out only 20 feet from the house, and it wasn’t doing its job at all. They extended the footer tile another 30 feet and added a catch basin to ensure proper drainage around the walkout. They also ran additional drainage for downspouts to further ensure that water moved away from the house.
